I am a registered psychologist and Medicare provider under the Better Access to Mental Health Initiative. My therapeutic approach incorporates aspects of psychodynamic and attachment theory. I also have experience working from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based therapeutic modalities.
I understand that people require a comfortable and caring space to feel safe and supported in therapy and tailor treatment to the unique needs of each individual. I aim to help clients explore the meaning behind their experiences, and to understand the links between early life events and their current difficulties. I am interested in helping individuals to enable long term personal change and to become more present in their lives.
I have worked with individuals experiencing a range of psychological difficulties including, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, pregnancy concerns, adjustment difficulties and career and life transitions. I am committed to working with people across a range of cultural backgrounds, LGTBIQ people and other minority groups. Through working with individuals who have experienced traumatic events in both childhood and adulthood I have become particularly interested in anxiety related disorders and attachment difficulties.
The fee for a standard consultation (50 minutes) is $225. Concession rates may be available upon request. Clients with a mental health care plan may be eligible for a rebate of $92.90.
